Clean Energy Center has the most experienced wind energy team in the state of Nevada. We have installed more than 35 meteorological towers and currently operate 4 Sonic Detection & Ranging Instruments (SoDAR’s) throughout the state. At the top of our list of meteorological accomplishments are installing the world’s tallest, tilt-up climbable tower sitting pretty at 80meters (thats 262.5 feet).

Sonic Detection & Ranging Instruments (SoDAR)

SoDAR DiagramSoDAR’s (Sonic Detection and Ranging) Instruments are becoming more and more popular these days and are usually bankable as long as they are referenced to a Met Tower. SoDAR’s alongside meteorological towers provide the unique opportunity to study many proposed wind turbine locations much more rapidly than met towers alone.
